I am a certified teacher and have 6 years of experience teaching and tutoring. My specialty is working with elementary students to establish those foundation skills necessary for success. My teaching experiences include: Kindergarten, K-5 Science, K-5 Substituting and Teacher Assistant. My tutoring experiences range from Kindergarten letters and numbers concepts to fifth grade reading skills. I work one-on-one with students providing reinforcement and enrichment of core concepts. I build rapport with students by learning about their interests. I also collaborate with parents and teachers to form partnerships and communicate student progress. I like to utilize a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to keep students motivated and engaged. It is a pleasure to work with children and help them become successful individuals!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, spending time in nature, reading, scrap-booking, cooking, watching TV, participating in church activities, spending time with family and playing board games with friends. My favorite place in the world is the beach and I visit every summer!
